Rizzo family cuts plea deal in corruption probe Rizzos face bribery and fraud charges
MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Former garbage tycoons Chuck Rizzo and his father, Charles Rizzo, have cut deals in the corruption probe that toppled the family business.
The father and son are facing bribery and fraud charges. Prosecutors allege they stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from the company to build a mansion for Chuck Rizzo.
Chuck Rizzo is also accused of paying bribes in order to secure contracts in various municipalities.
A plea hearing is scheduled for Nov. 8.
