Flashpoint 1/19/20: Head of state environmental agency and Michigan Secretary of State make appearances

DETROIT – So far, the new year has been hazardous -- as in hazardous waste. Every day seems to bring a new spill or discovery of trouble. The head of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy, Liesl Eichler Clark, talked about the agency’s long list of troubles.

And this year’s election could bring a record turnout in Michigan. Good news, right? But the warning buzzers are sounding over our ability to handle the turnout. We also spoke with Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
