Michael Jordan museum to be built in North Carolina Museum will be built in downtown Wilmington
A museum to honor basketball legend Michael Jeffrey Jordan is in the works in his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina.
New Hanover County is planning a new museum for Jordan in downtown Wilmington.
The county says the Jordan family is willing to contribute and loan personal items to help tell the family’s story.
Jordan, the former owner of the Charlotte Hornets, grew up in Wilmington and graduated from Laney High School.
It’s unclear exactly when the museum will be open.
