The school was evacuated and searched, but no bomb was found. The teen was charged with a false report of a threat of terrorism, which is a 20-year felony.

On Friday, the bond was denied based on the seriousness of the offense. Officials say the teen will remain in the Juvenile Justice Center, and he will receive a mental health evaluation.

A pre-trial is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 21, at 9:30 p.m.

“The gravity of this offense and its impact on campus security is serious,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “We will prosecute this reckless behavior to hold the juvenile accountable for his actions.”
