Detroit shelter inviting families to spend time with adoptable pets this holiday season

Plenty of animals are hoping for just one thing this holiday season—a forever family and a new home.

Detroit Animal Care and Control (DACC) came up with a way to spread holiday cheer and get you to think about dogs and cats up for adoption called Shelter Fun Day.

Families can visit the shelter at 1431 E Ferry Street in Detroit on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to enjoy some holiday candy, decorate an ornament, read to the shelter’s dogs or cats or make a present for them.

Local 4 interviewed Boston Round, who is up for adoption, and Sue Valentine with DACC. You can watch the full interview in the video above. WARNING: Boston is too darn cute.
