Could a popular summer vacation spot in Michigan be the setting for season 4 of an HBO TV show?

It’s possible!

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer took to social media to pitch Michigan’s Mackinac Island as the setting for season 4 of “The White Lotus.”

“If @hbo is looking for the perfect location for @thewhitelotus season 4…Mackinac Island is ready to check you in," the governor said in a social media post alongside a video showcasing the island.

On the TikTok post, the account for Max, HBO’s streaming service, commented and wrote, “We are accepting all submissions.”

Whitmer shared her pitch after Pure Michigan posted on X and asked, “If you could bring The White Lotus season 4 to Michigan, where would you like to see the action take place?”

Season 1 was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Hawaii, and the second season was filmed at the San Domenico Palace, Taormina, a Four Seasons Hotel in Sicily, Italy.

The third season was filmed primarily at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui in Thailand.
