President of Oakland County group left child porn in stack of meeting notes, police say
The president of a group in Oakland County is facing felony charges after he left child porn pictures within a stack of meeting notes, police said.
Deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said they launched an investigation into James Lawrence Meloche, 81, of Clarkston, on Oct. 11, 2023.
Police said the day before, Meloche attended a meeting for the Village of Clarkston Historic District Commission. He was the president of the group at the time.

New Chick-fil-A location opens in Oakland County
The newest Chick-fil-A restaurant in Metro Detroit is opening in Oakland County on Thursday.
The location will open in Auburn Hills, at 2111 N Squirrel Rd., across from Meadow Brook Theatre, serving patrons from Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out.
Detroit mom vanished after 2020 Mother’s Day call, now man faces murder charges
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Keyvonte Deshawn Clark, 31, of Detroit, in connection with the fatal shooting of Jessica Bedford, 24, also from Detroit.
Bedford was reported missing by her mother on May 30, 2020, and as of now, her body has not been located.
