DETROIT – Toastique, a fast-casual restaurant which boasts a health-focused menu, is opening its second location in Michigan. The chain which is expanding across the U.S. announced it will be opening a café in downtown Detroit in the fall.

Toastique will debut at 89 Monroe St. in the space formerly occupied by a hair salon in Campus Martius. When it opens it’s expected to be an all-day café with a wellness-focused menu offering nutritious grab-and-go options.

The first café opened in Washington D.C and now has more than 30 locations nationwide and is known for its gourmet toast, bowls, juices and coffee, plus other all-day brunch items. The first location in Michigan opened in Ann Arbor last August.

Founded by Brianna Keefe, Toastique was born from her passions of drinking juices and breakfast smoothies during her time as an athlete, fueling her days with high-quality whole foods.

“Toastique is where beauty and all-day brunch-y goodness come together to break bread, and smoothies, and coffee, and juices, and… you get it. We craft high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients into dishes that nourish the good, the bad, and the chaos of everyday life,” Keefe says on Toastique’s website.

No other details have been announced for the opening in Detroit.
