Detroit – If you’re eager to experience Detroit from a fresh perspective this summer, consider adding this to your list of activities. The Detroit Rolling Pub has returned with an exciting new offering—a water tour. This allows individuals to enjoy the waterways, even if they don’t own a boat. What began a few years ago has now grown to include 11 tiki boats, with tours operating daily from both Detroit’s Riverside Marina and St. Clair Shores’ Blossom Heath Marina.

How much will it cost?

Tours are available until the end of September, featuring several six-passenger boats, two larger boats accommodating 18 passengers, and one that can hold up to 30 passengers. Pricing varies based on the day and time, with six passenger boats costing between $250 and $330, while the larger vessels start at $500. Gratuities for the captain are welcomed, and parking at the dock is available for $15.

What you’ll explore

During the tour, guests will have the opportunity to view notable sites such as the Manoogian Mansion, the former residence of Kid Rock, Belle Isle, and stunning vistas of Detroit.

What to bring

Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages, which can be kept in the boat’s coolers. They can also play their favorite music through the boat’s sound system and even enjoy karaoke.

Aloha Tiki Tours opens its booking calendar in January, but there are still available slots for weekends and weekdays. Each tour lasts two hours, beginning at 10 a.m. and concluding at sunset, with a captain provided to navigate the boat. Reservations can be made here.
