WARREN, Mich. – Three people were injured, including a police officer, after a two-vehicle crash in Warren on Thursday afternoon, police said.
At about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, a Warren police car was involved in a “minor traffic crash” with another vehicle near the intersection of Dequindre Road and John B Avenue, according to the Warren Police Department.
A preliminary investigation shows that the crash involved a Chevrolet HHR SUV with two female occupants and the patrol car.
The officer and the two people in the Chevrolet were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Warren Police Department Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash, which is standard procedure, according to police.
The roadway will reopen once their investigation concludes, which police say is expected to happen soon.
No other details about the crash have been released at this time.
