Mt. Clemens woman faces multiple felonies for possession, distribution of child abuse material

Allegedly, in February 2025, Rix was in possession of child sexually abusive material

MT. CLEMENS, Mich. – Jasmine Ellise Rix, 29, of Mt. Clemens, was arraigned on multiple charges of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Allegedly, in February 2025, Rix was in possession of child sexually abusive material.

Rix also allegedly shared the abusive material from her computer.

She is charged with:

  • Three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material. Each charge is a felony, punishable by 10 years in prison
  • One count of possession of child sexually abusive material. This charge is a felony, punishable by four years in prison
  • Three counts of using a computer to commit a crime (related to aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material. Each charge is a felony, punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison
  • One count of using a computer to commit a crime (related to possession of child sexually abusive material). This charge is a felony, punishable by four to 10 years in prison

On Monday, June 16, 2025, Rix was arraigned at 41B District Court in Clinton Township, where bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety, with no 10% requirement.

If she is released, she must have no contact with any minor children, refrain from using the internet or computers, and wear a GPS tether.
