Weather: Dangerous heat continues in Metro Detroit then moves to severe thunderstorm chances

Extreme heat continues across most of Southeast Michigan today, but this will be the last day of our 4Warn Weather Alert as a result of the heat wave.

The Extreme Heat Warnings and Advisories are set to lift at 8PM. Areas north of I-69 have already peeled back the heat alerts as a cold front will bring more cloud cover and a chance of rain earlier in the day ultimately providing some relief in temperatures. Otherwise, the Metro area will have highs back in the 90s today. Heat indices will range from 95 to 105 degrees.
