Oakland County woman sentenced for sexually assaulting 2 boys while working at juvenile jail
An Oakland County woman has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting two teenage boys while working at a Wayne County juvenile jail.
Officials said Svetlana Kuryanova, 33, of Farmington Hills, sexually assaulted two boys -- ages 16 and 17 -- on April 8, 2024, at the Juvenile Detention Facility on Hamtramck Drive in Hamtramck.
Kuryanova was working as a juvenile detention specialist at the time.
Michigan AG reaches $4.5M settlement with 6 nursing homes over neglect allegations
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has reached a $4.5 million settlement with six Detroit-area nursing homes and their ownership companies over allegations of neglect.
