Helicopter video shows moment police rescue missing West Michigan woman
‘Amazing rescue, happy ending!’ says police
VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. – A Michigan woman was found safe with the help of Michigan State Police’s helicopter.
The 83-year-old woman was reported missing on July 8 at around 1 p.m. after she left her home in Van Buren County. Police said she has dementia and may not know where she is or what is going on.
She was found later that evening in a swamp almost a mile away from her home.
Crews in Michigan State Police’s helicopter helped guide police officers through the swamp to help find the missing woman.
