“A lucky Michigander woke up this morning to news that they won $1 million playing Powerball at MichiganLottery.com,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli. “Winning $1 million would be a dream come true for many Lottery players, and I want to be the first to congratulate the player on their big win!”
The winner should contact the Michigan Lottery’s Player Relations division at 844-917-6325 to claim their big prize. All Powerball prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date.
Powerball drawings happen at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and can be watched live online.
People can purchase a Powerball play for $2 each. A “Power Play” can also be added for $1, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times, up to a maximum of $2 million.
For an extra $1 per play, a Double Play can be added, which gives people the chance to win up to $10 million in the Double Play drawing.
