MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Terrance Lamar Bowie, II, 29, from Shelby Township, was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence related to the death of a woman in Shelby Township.
Allegedly, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, police responded to a Shelby Township apartment after a 911 call.
Police said Bowie let them into the apartment where the body of Brittany Harris-Beauchamp, 27, of Madison Heights, was found.
Officials said it appeared her body had been moved within the room.
Police said Bowie was arraigned on July 22, 2025, in the 41A District Court in Shelby Township on the following charges:
- Homicide – Second Degree, a life or any term of years felony
- Tampering with Evidence – a 10-year felony
The charges are the maximum available under the law based on the evidence to date.
Bond was set at $2 million cash/surety.
If released, police said Bowie must wear a GPS tether.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at 9 p.m.
A preliminary exam is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at 1 p.m.
Both hearings will take place at 41A District Court in Shelby Township.
