On Tuesday, July 29, Flood allegedly went to his wife’s job at Michigan Rehab Services - Pomeroy Living Facility in Sterling Heights and was waiting for her to arrive.

When she got there, Flood allegedly approached her and appeared to be reaching for a gun in his waistband.

His wife tried to take cover in her co-worker’s car, but Flood allegedly stopped the door from closing. He then fired multiple shots at his wife.

After that, the wife and her co-worker exited the car via the driver’s door and started running toward the building.

As they were running away, Flood caught his wife and pistol-whipped her in the head multiple times.

Officers then arrived, and Flood was taken into custody.

His wife was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The co-worker was not injured, officials said.

Flood was arraigned in 41A District Court on Thursday, July 31, and his bond was set at $1,000,000 cash/surety.

If Flood posts the bond and is released, he must wear a GPS tether, and he cannot have any contact with the victims.

His probable cause conference is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 7, and his preliminary examination is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 14.

“We will prosecute this case vigorously and pursue full accountability through the justice system. Our office is committed to protecting victims and ensuring those who commit such violent acts face the full force of the law,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
