Former Michigan court administrator accused of embezzling $100K+

Investigation reveals alleged theft by court administrator

PAW PAW, Mich. – A former Michigan court administrator has been arrested on suspicion of embezzlement.

According to authorities, Rachel Celeste Lindley is accused of embezzling more than $100,000 from various grants while working as a Specialty Court Administrator in Van Buren County. She has since moved to Maryland.

Lindley was arrested after a Michigan State Police investigation allegedly uncovered the theft. She was charged Tuesday, Aug. 5, with felony embezzlement over $100,000 and felony embezzlement by a public official.

If convicted, she could spend decades in prison.
