McDonald’s is bringing back nostalgic characters for its new McDonaldland Meal, which launches today.
Here’s what to know about the meal that is available starting on Aug. 12, 2025:
What is included in the McDonaldland Meal?
The meal, themed after the fictional McDonaldland world, will include the following:
- A Quarter Pounder with cheese -OR- a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets
- Fries
- Mt. McDonaldland Shake.
It will also come with one of six collectible tins that feature a classic McDonald’s character.
“Over the past few years we’ve seen how fans flock to our characters, everyone from Grimace to the Hamburglar. But many, especially the new generation, don’t know that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s an entire magical world of McDonaldland filled with characters, places and lore,” Jennifer “JJ” Healan, McDonald’s VP, U.S. Marketing, Brand, Content & Culture, said in a previous release. “And so, for the first time in decades, we are taking fans on a trip to McDonaldland with an immersive experience that taps into the past to create the future. It’s a chance for us to give fans a new, modern way to experience this magical world.”

What is the Mt. McDonaldland Shake?
When McDonald’s announced the meal, the company didn’t initially release the flavor of the shake, but said it was inspired by the volcano from the fictional world.
Now, information on the company’s website shows that the shake is berry flavored.
“With hints of berry flavor and colorful, cloud-like pink Dairy Whipped Topping made with real cream, the Mt. McDonaldland Shake erupted from one of Grimace Island’s thick shake volcanoes,” according to the McDonald’s website.
