WARREN, Mich. – A man is accused of trying to meet up with a 15-year-old girl from Reddit to have sexual relations in Macomb County, prosecutors said.
Andrew Day, 30, of Trenton, is accused of messaging a person he thought was a 15-year-old girl on Reddit. Prosecutors said that person was actually an undercover officer acting as a 15-year-old girl.

Day is accused of sending explicit pictures of himself and talking about explicit activities, prosecutors said.
He tried to meet the 15-year-old on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, for “sexual relations,” but he was arrested when he got to the meeting spot, according to authorities.
“Our children deserve to grow up safe, free from the threat of predators,” Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said. “My office will use every tool under the law to protect them and hold offenders fully accountable.”
Day was arraigned Tuesday at 37th District Court in Warren on charges of accosting a child for immoral purposes, a four-year felony, and misdemeanor using a computer to commit a crime.
He’s being held on $100,000 bond, cash/surety. If released, he has to wear a GPS tether and avoid contact with children. He can’t use the internet or go within 1,000 feet of a school, playground, or place where children congregate. He can’t leave Michigan, do drugs, or drink alcohol.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for 8:45 a.m. Aug. 26, and a preliminary examination is scheduled for Sept. 2, 2025.
