Three men from Detroit have been formally charged in connection with the fatal shooting of 6-year-old Rylee Love.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced that Demontrel Benard Wilson, 30, Deonate Cornealous Cherry, 28, and Terrance Jaland Blue, 28, face charges including Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, First Degree Murder, and Conspiracy to Discharge Firearms from a Vehicle Causing Death, among others.

The defendants were all arraigned and remanded to jail on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025.

Residents react to arrest of suspect in Henry Ford Hospital killing

A quiet Detroit neighborhood is shaken following a heavy police presence during a manhunt for a suspect accused of killing his ex-wife at Henry Ford Hospital on Friday.

In less than 24 hours, Detroit police located and arrested 53-year-old Mario Green without incident, police said.

The search ended just before 3:00 a.m. Saturday on the 5200 block of Lemay Street on the city’s east side, according to the department.

Residents described the sprawling law enforcement scene, which included the Detroit Police Department, Michigan State Police, ATF and more.

Child killed, multiple injured in fatal crash in Detroit

A car crash on Detroit’s east side early Saturday morning has claimed the life of a young girl and left five others injured.

The crash occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m. near Gratiot and August avenues when a Buick Lacrosse was hit by a Lincoln MKZ during a left turn.

All occupants of both vehicles were taken to the hospital.

Why a Michigan island was named one of America’s best underrated islands

A Michigan spot was named on a list of the best underrated islands in the country, and it wasn’t Mackinac Island.

CNN Travel recently released its “America’s best underrated islands” list, and Michigan’s Drummond Island was included on the list.

Drummond Island is located in Lake Huron near the Upper Peninsula. It’s the second-largest freshwater island in the U.S. and has a population of 1,058.

The island has the largest closed-loop off-road vehicle (ORV) trail system in Michigan, and provides more than 60 miles of ATV trails and 40 miles of ORV routes, according to its tourism association.
