Man dies after being electrocuted while working on mechanical lift in Sterling Heights

41-year-old from Grosse Pointe Park dies from injuries

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A man has died after being electrocuted while working on a mechanical lift in Sterling Heights on Monday.

It happened at around 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 near a wooded area on Metro Parkway.

Police said the 41-year-old from Grosse Pointe Park touched a power line while working and became unresponsive.

After the power was shut off, he was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
