Mother, 12-year-old son found murdered in Oakland County home
A mother and son were found dead in an Oakland County home on Labor Day.
Police said they were found in their home on Berdeno Avenue in Hazel Park at around 4:15 p.m. on Sept. 1 with injuries from apparent trauma.

Diamond McCaa couldn’t believe what she was seeing inside the store.
“There was a way that they could have taken her out of that store and called the police, closed the doors, locked it, and ended it. But they beat her up,” said McCaa.

A man was rescued after falling down a cliff where climbing is prohibited on Mackinac Island, officials said.
At 1:57 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31, the Mackinac Island Fire Department received a report that a man had fallen down a cliff and possibly had a broken arm.

The beautiful weather has continued through the entire holiday weekend, with a gradual warm-up in temperatures as well, and we’re expecting much of the same as most students are heading back to the classroom for the start of the new school year!
The sunshine will continue for Tuesday and a part of Wednesday, before our next system moves into the region, bringing chances for rain showers for most everyone. That system looks to move in late Wednesday night and into Thursday. High temperatures warming into the low 80s by the time we get to Wednesday afternoon.
