Good Samaritans rescue 5 from burning speedboat on Lake Huron No injuries reported

TAWAS, Mich. – A 35-foot speedboat was destroyed in a fire on Lake Huron.
It happened Tuesday, Sept. 2, in Tawas Bay in Iosco County. According to authorities , five people were taken to shore by Good Samaritans before first responders arrived.
The U.S. Coast Guard quickly established a safety zone around the burning boat while fire crews from Tawas and East Tawas worked to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported.
