PORT HURON, Mich. – A 23-year-old man died after he was shot during a domestic dispute in Port Huron, police said. A 40-year-old woman was taken into custody in connection with the shooting.
Police responded to the 1400 block of 10th Avenue at 11:21 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, after receiving a report about a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his abdomen.
They initiated life-saving measures until EMS arrived. The man was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Jennifer Lynn Goodall, 40, was arrested and taken to the St. Clair County Jail.
On Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, she was arraigned on the charges of open murder, felony firearm and purchasing a pistol without a license.
An 11-year-old child was also inside the home at the time of the shooting, according to police. They were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
