Crash on Detroit’s east side leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

A crash on Detroit’s east side early Saturday morning left a woman dead and a man in critical condition.

The crash happened in the 2100 block of Gratiot at around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 6.

According to police, there was a two-car crash in the area, resulting in one of the cars crashing into Avenue Grill.

Bond set at $250K for Macomb County man accused of possessing child porn

A Macomb County man has been charged in connection with possessing child sexually abusive material, officials said.

Kevin John Buchanan, 36, of Warren, was charged with the following, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office:

Three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material. Each charge is a felony, punishable by 10 years in prison.

Three counts of using a computer to commit a crime (related to aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material). Each charge is a felony, punishable by 10 years in prison.

What to know about case against ex-husband, accomplice accused of killing woman at Henry Ford Hospital

The man accused of killing his ex-wife, along with his alleged accomplice, at Henry Ford Hospital appeared in court on Thursday.

During the court hearing, a preliminary exam date was scheduled for Mario Green, who is accused of killing his ex-wife at Henry Ford Hospital, and Anthony Barnett, Green’s alleged accomplice.

Weather: Fall preview comes to an end as work week heats back up

Sunshine to end the weekend with highs in the upper 60s. Clear and cool skies overnight as our temps drop to the mid 40s.

A chilly start to the day on Monday but mostly sunny skies get us back into the low 70s.

Keep in mind our normal high is now 77 degrees so we are still a bit cooler than normal.
