Dr. Charise Valentine, 69, of Southfield, was sentenced to six years in prison following her conviction on charges related to the illegal distribution of prescription opioids.
Valentine was convicted by a jury of conspiracy to unlawfully distribute opioids, including Oxycodone and Oxymorphone, and 10 counts of illegal distribution of these drugs.

An Oakland County man is facing federal charges for allegedly cyberstalking a woman and sending her AI-generated nude images of her.
Josh Stilman, 36, is accused of messaging a social media influencer on Instagram, sending AI-generated nude images of her and threatening to post them online if she did not respond to his messages.
‘I just want my yard back’: Pontiac resident is frustrated after DTE leaves utility poles on front lawn
A Pontiac resident has been frustrated by DTE leaving over a dozen telephone poles on his front lawn.
“I’m assuming that they’re replacing throughout the neighborhood, so it’s hard to say. They’re all different sizes, too,” said Pontiac resident Devin Hall.
Hall said for the past few months, DTE’s given him the short end of the stick - more specifically, the short end of the pole or at least 20 of them left on the front lawn.
