Warren man charged in fatal shooting of 63-year-old housemate

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 14, and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Oct. 21

WARREN, Mich. – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that a 20-year-old Warren man was arraigned on charges related to the shooting death of his 63-year-old housemate.

It is alleged that on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025, Warren police were dispatched to the residence of Kayvon Briscoe-Hall regarding a shooting.

When police arrived, officials said Briscoe-Hall was outside the home, and he was detained.

Police said they went into the home and found Biscoe-Hall’s 63-year-old housemate bleeding and lying unresponsive on the floor.

Officials said life-saving measures were given until the Warren Fire Department arrived and transported the man to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

On Monday, Oct. 6, 2025, Briscoe-Hall was arraigned at the 37th District Court on the following charges:

  • Homicide – Murder – Second-Degree, a life or any term of years felony
  • Weapons - Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, consecutive to main charge

Bond was denied, and Biscoe-Hall was remanded to the Macomb County Jail.

A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, and a preliminary exam is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025.

Both hearings will be held at 8:45 a.m.
