MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – It’s a big day for the skilled trades in Southeast Michigan.
A new 100,000 square-foot facility for skilled trades training is opening in Sterling Heights.
It’s located on Van Dyke between 15 Mile and Metro Parkway.
The space will serve as a training ground for individuals pursuing hands-on careers in a range of fields, including carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, and welding.
The team at the Southeast Michigan Construction Academy (SEMCA) says the new campus gives them the space and the resources to train hundreds of students every year, giving them the ability to meet the growing demand for skilled trades workers across the state.
