MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A man is accused of ramming his car into a police patrol car in Roseville early Monday morning.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said a 36-year-old Roseville man rammed his car into a police officer’s car with an officer inside in the parking lot of the Roseville Police Department on VFW Memorial Drive at around 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 13.
The man then got out of his car, allegedly holding a knife. Two officers were nearby and told the man to drop the knife as he approached the officers. The officers then shot the man after he allegedly refused to drop the weapon.
The Roseville man was arrested and taken to a local hospital for his injuries. The officer in the patrol car suffered minor injuries. The two officers who shot the man were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
