A Metro Detroit civil and human rights attorney is returning to America after she was released from Israeli custody.
Huwaida Arraf was arrested by the Israeli military after she participated in the Conscience Flotilla bringing humanitarian aid, medical professionals and journalists to Gaza.

She, along with all the other passengers and crew on the ship, was taken to Israel. She and her colleague were the last passengers to be released.
Arraf is expected to return to Detroit on Thursday, Oct. 16.
