A Macomb County father was upset that his child didn’t receive a snack during school snack time, and now he’s facing charges.
David Scott, Jr., 43, is accused of confronting his child’s teacher at Pleasantview Elementary in Eastpointe during dismissal around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025.

Chauncey Billups, a Detroit Pistons icon and current head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers, was among 31 people arrested in a sweeping federal investigation.

‘Where’s my heat?’: Legally blind Royal Oak apartment resident says complex is ignoring his complaints
A 71-year-old legally blind tenant says he’s been living without heat for days at an apartment complex in Royal Oak.
“You’re at home with heat at night. I’m sitting over here cold, freezing, where’s my heat?” said Durwood Gray, who lives at The Park on 13 Apartments.
Gray has been using a space heater his family provided to stay warm.
When he approached management about the heating problem, he says he was told there was an issue with the complex’s boiler system.
Detroit police search for man accused of attacking 3 people with blunt object during home invasion
Detroit police are searching for a man who is accused of attacking three people with a blunt object during a home invasion on the city’s east side.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, at 2:48 p.m., when police said the man broke into a residence in the 6000 block of Harrell Street and assaulted two 56-year-old men and an 81-year-old woman with a blunt object.
After the attack, police said the man then fled the scene. No items were reported stolen.
