Woman shot by police after leading 2 chases, driving toward officers in Detroit, authorities say

A woman is recovering after being shot during an altercation with Detroit police on Sunday.

Police said she led officers on a chase twice before she was shot. It started with a traffic stop at 3 p.m. on Oct. 26 and ended at the Detroit police facility on Sherwood Street.

An officer pulled over an SUV with an invalid license plate on Sunday, and police said the woman behind the wheel refused to provide her driver’s license, registration or get out of the car.

Masked man robs Dollar General in Monroe County, police seek tips

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that took place Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Dollar General store located at 8220 Lewis Avenue in Temperance.

According to police, around 8:20 p.m., a man dressed all in black with a mask walked into the store.

Attorney ‘tracking down money’ hidden by Oakland County business owner before his death

An attorney is trying to track down money that was hidden by an Oakland County business owner who died after a massive sexual harassment and assault verdict by a jury.

Earlier this year, a jury awarded $138 million to six women who accused Birmingham business owner Gary Raykhinshteyn of sexual harassment and assault.

But Raykhinshteyn recently died, and now attorneys are trying to locate the money he allegedly hid, so that the victims in this case can be paid.
