MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Macomb County man is accused of possessing several files of child porn, officials said.
George Pointer, 68, of Mt. Clemens, was arraigned on the following charges on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025:

- One count of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material (10-year felony)
- One count of using a computer to commit a crime (related to aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material; 10-year felony)
- Two counts of using a computer to commit a crime (related to possession of child sexually abusive material; each a 7-year felony)
- Two counts of possession of child sexually abusive material (each a 4-year felony)
The charges come after authorities allegedly found “many files of child sexually abusive material” in Pointer’s possession on April 14, 2025, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.
A judge set Pointer’s bond at $500,000 cash/surety, 10%.
If he posts bond and is released, Pointer cannot have any contact with minors, and he can’t use the internet unless it’s related to court. He also can’t have any drugs, alcohol or weapons.
Pointer is scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause conference on Nov. 10.
“The allegations in this case are abhorrent, and the gravity of the conduct cannot be understated,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “When offenses of this nature come to light, we are committed to pursuing justice swiftly.”
