WARREN, Mich. – A man from Pontiac will spend years in jail after a 2024 police chase that ended in a deadly crash in Warren.
It happened on June 29, 2024, near the intersection of 10 Mile and Dequindre roads.

According to authorities, two Warren police officers were on patrol on Eight Mile Road, near Mound Road, when they saw three Dodge Chargers speeding in tandem, potentially racing.
The officers attempted a traffic stop for reckless driving and activated their lights. One Charger pulled over, but the other two sped away.
One of the fleeing Chargers struck a Jeep turning onto 10 Mile Road. The Jeep’s driver was injured, and the passenger, Katrina Michael, 42, was killed.
Michael was a single mother of two teenage boys.
James Hudson was identified as the driver of the Charger that hit the Jeep. He was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, first-degree fleeing and eluding, three counts of second-degree fleeing and eluding and three counts of reckless driving causing serious injury.
After accepting a plea agreement, Hudson was sentenced to 15-40 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections on Monday, Nov. 10.
His sentence includes credit for 208 days served, no contact with the victim’s family, and restitution payments.
