What local stores are expecting for the holidays

63% of stores in Michigan think sales will increase through the end of the year

Christmas is 45 days away, and we’re getting a better idea of how the holiday shopping season is shaping up in Michigan.

According to the Michigan Retailers Association, about 63% of stores think their sales will increase through the end of the year.

Are you already budgeting?

The National Retail Federation said people are predicting they’ll spend an average of $890 on gifts and decor this year. Families with children plan to spend an average of $33 more.
