The confrontation captured on video shows employees struggling with Carter before dragging her from the premises, an incident that has raised concerns about how retail establishments handle suspected shoplifting cases involving individuals with mental health challenges.

Weather: Metro Detroit to see some evening flurries ahead of arctic blast

We have a little haze and fog across portions of Metro Detroit this morning, but not overly dense. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with highs around freezing today and a chance for a few scattered flurries/light snow showers late this afternoon and evening as a cold front passes.

I don’t expect this to be a snowmaker that results in shoveling, but it could drop minor accumulations from a dusting to an inch in spots that could lead to a few slick spots. Behind that front will be a much colder air mass to round out the week.
