Macomb County man charged as repeat offender in attempted murder case Bond set at $500,000

UTICA, Mich. – A 70-year-old man from Utica is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing someone multiple times.
According to authorities, police were dispatched to Vanker’s home on Nov. 25 for a welfare check after receiving a 911 hang-up. First responders reportedly found a victim with multiple stab wounds, who needed immediate medical attention.
The next day, Vanker was arraigned on assault with intent to murder. He was charged as a repeat offender and his bond was set at $500,000.
