CENTER LINE, Mich. – The 21-year-old woman accused of driving an SUV through a child’s bedroom in Macomb County is now facing drunk driving charges.
It happened at about 3 a.m. on Oct. 13 at a Center Line home near 10 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue.

Caris Adell Wade is accused of driving her car through the home before running off on foot. She was taken into custody in the area shortly after.
Wade was initially charged with reckless driving causing serious injury and failure to stop at the scene of a crash. After her toxicology results were obtained, prosecutors added a charge of operating with a high blood alcohol content.
She was arraigned on the new charge Thursday, Dec. 4.
Michigan law considers drivers “super drunk” if they have a BAC of 0.17% or higher. Under Michigan’s Impaired Driving Law, “super drunk” drivers face increased penalties for driving under the influence.
In November, Wade waived her right to a Preliminary Exam, sending the case to the Macomb County Circuit Court.
Her bond remains at $200,000.
