30-year-old woman dies after crash involving semi truck in Sterling Heights

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – A 30-year-old woman from Warren died after her Chevrolet Malibu collided with a semi truck near Mound Road and South Sterling Drive.

First responders were called to the scene at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

Despite the quick response from police and fire crews, the woman died from her injuries.

Initial investigation shows the Chevrolet Malibu was traveling northbound on Mound Road near Sterling Drive South when it struck the rear of the semi truck, which was stopped at a red light.

The semi truck driver was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
