Police said they attempted to lure the woman out, but she was not cooperating, so negotiators were brought in. In the live stream, the woman repeatedly claimed to have killed their person and showed a bloody knife. She also said she wanted to speak with her sister.

After more than four hours of negotiations, during which she allegedly said she wanted to be killed by police and threatened to kill officers, she was eventually convinced to come outside, where she was taken into custody and then taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Several neighbors said they learned about the situation when the live stream appeared on their Facebook feeds. The woman had reportedly moved to the neighborhood recently.
