Video: Warren man arrested after leading police on I-94 chase with stolen car

Driver, 3 other occupants taken into custody

MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A 22-year-old Warren man has been taken into custody after he allegedly led police on a chase with a stolen car in Macomb County, officials said.

At about 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, Michigan State Police notified the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office about an alleged stolen car they were tracking on eastbound I-94 near 12 Mile Road, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded, and when they were in the area of eastbound I-94 and North River Road in Harrison Township, they activated their lights and sirens and tried to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle.

The suspect allegedly failed to stop and fled.

They deployed tire deflation devices to disable the car on westbound I-94 near Joy Boulevard.

The suspect eventually pulled over on the left shoulder of the freeway near North River Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

The driver, a 22-year-old man from Warren, and the three other people in the car were taken into custody without incident.

The sheriff’s office said the driver is being lodged at the Macomb County Jail, and charges are being sought.

The three other occupants are in Michigan State Police custody on their related charges, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing.
