Northbound I-75 closed in Detroit after snow squall causes several crashes

DETROIT – Northbound lanes of I-75 are closed in Detroit after a fast-moving snow squall caused several crashes, according to Michigan State Police.

The freeway is closed at McNichols.

“Troopers are also working on getting the vehicles stuck between the crash scenes and the detour turned around and back on their way. We still recommend avoiding that area for another north/south route until the clean up is complete,” MSP said in a X post.

Snow squall warnings were in effect for much of Southeast Michigan on Monday.
