Instead of packing for a road trip, how about taking a train to Traverse City?
The Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities wants Michigan residents and commuters to share their thoughts on the future of a passenger rail through a new survey for the North+South Rail project.

The plan would connect southeast Michigan, mid-Michigan, and the northwest Lower Peninsula, making travel across the state more convenient.
It is currently undergoing a major planning study to evaluate passenger service between key communities.
The study is examining travel patterns, the proposed route, ridership demand and infrastructure costs.
To keep everyone in the loop, Groundwork just launched a website for the project.
There, you’ll find the survey, an overview of the rail plan and its goals, details on the ongoing study, maps, documents, and ways to get involved.
If you live, work, or travel in the region, Groundwork wants your input. You can take the survey here.
