The veteran restaurateurs will join Detroit rock radio giant Drew Lane to open the restaurant this March.
The project started with operating franchisees, brothers Tony Yezbick and Danny Yezbick. They also own the longstanding bar Fifth Avenue, across the street, as well as 526 Main Piano Bar.
Food will be served on all three floors: the main dining area on ground level, the second-floor live music area and an open-air rooftop during warmer months. The menu will be like other Rock & Brews locations, which have pub grub such as giant pretzels, wings, burgers, salads and pizza. Rock & Brews spans across eight states, with many locations in California.
Lane has been working with the Rock & Brews design team to incorporate as much music memorabilia from the city’s past, including old WRIF stickers, Motown posters, garage rock-era flyers, radio chart lists, rock club ephemera, photos and articles.
Lane was co-host of the award-winning “The Drew and Mike Show” on WRIF (101.1-FM) for 20 years. He currently hosts “The Drew Lane Show” podcast.
Rock & Brews is set to open this spring at 208 W. Fifth in Royal Oak. Visit here to learn more.
