Macomb County man to face trial in 63-year-old roommate’s murder Suspect remains held without bond

WARREN, Mich. – A 20-year-old man from Warren has been bound over for trial for the death of his 63-year-old roommate.
In October, Kayvon Briscoe-Hall was charged with second-degree murder and felony firearm . He was denied bond.
The charges stem from the death of Roger Willie. On Oct. 2, 2025, police were dispatched to the home where Willie and Briscoe-Hall lived after reports of a shooting.
First responders reportedly found Willie unresponsive inside the home, bleeding from several gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Briscoe-Hall was taken into custody at the scene.
On Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026 , Briscoe-Hall was bound over to circuit court on all charges. He is expected to be arraigned Jan. 20.
