LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. – The man accused of murdering his wife, who disappeared nearly five years ago, appeared in court on Wednesday.

Dee Warner went missing in April 2021. Her husband, Dale, was charged in June 2024 after human remains found on his Lenawee County property were determined to be Dee’s.

Dale Warner faces charges of murder and tampering with evidence. His trial is expected to begin in the coming weeks.

He appeared in court on Wednesday for his final pretrial conference, which is a procedural hearing that takes place before the set trial date.

In the hearing, both the prosecution and the defense told the judge they are ready to proceed to trial.

The judge also mentioned that a pending motion hearing is scheduled for Feb. 6. This date could be moved depending on jury selection.

The trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 27, 2026.
