2 arrested after major drug busts in Port Huron Township

Crack cocaine, heroin, meth and other drugs seized during operations

PORT HURON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Two people were arrested in Port Huron Township during narcotics operations conducted by the St. Clair County Drug Task Force.

On Wednesday, Jan. 14, officers first stopped a car near the I-94 connector and 32nd Street, where they found 59-year-old Larenza Richey driving without a license.

During a search, a K9 alerted officers to drugs hidden inside a child’s car seat.

They seized 26 grams of crack cocaine, 6 grams of powder cocaine, 8 grams of heroin, and a large amount of cash.

Richey was taken to jail and arraigned in 72nd District Court on multiple felony charges, including drug possession, using a computer to commit a crime and maintaining a drug house.

His bond was set at $25,000.

Later that day, the task force executed a search warrant at a home on the 1400 block of 27th Street, where they arrested 45-year-old Scott Shreeve.

Inside the residence, officers found 144 grams of methamphetamine, prescription pills, ketamine, drug paraphernalia, and a shotgun.

Shreeve was also taken to jail and faces felony drug possession charges, with bond set at $50,000.
