Detroit Lions fan fights back against racism allegations with lawsuit against NFL figures
Detroit Lions season ticket holder Ryan Kennedy has filed a defamation lawsuit against Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf, NFL legend Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, and multiple media companies over allegations of a racial slur.
Kennedy, a mortgage company CEO, filed the suit with the Marko Law Firm on Tuesday (Feb. 3) in Wayne County Circuit Court, seeking $100 million for defamation, negligence, and other claims after allegedly being falsely branded as a racist in the national media.

A St. Clair County resident claims that ice fishermen parking near his house in an empty lot have turned winter into a headache.
The Ira Township man, who didn’t want to be identified, said that for the last few years, more people have been using the lot by Meldrum Road and Dixie Highway.
2 men accused of stealing from at least 17 work trucks in Macomb, Oakland, Wayne counties
Two men are facing charges in connection with a series of thefts targeting at least 17 work trucks across Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties, officials said.
Andrew Walker, 27, of Detroit, and Deanote Lindsey, 27, of Harper Woods, have been arraigned on the following charges:
- Armed robbery (felony punishable by life or any term of years)
- Conducting a criminal enterprise (20-year felony)
- Assault with a dangerous weapon (4-year felony)
