‘Paying for something I don’t have’: Detroit senior wants refund after new car breaks down repeatedly

Restaurants inside the Renaissance Center want customers to know A Detroit senior living on social security bought a car in December, but he’s only actually had the card for 10 days. That’s because it won’t stop breaking down.

Senior David Cook says he bought a 2015 Chevy Suburban from Coolidge Highway Motors on Dec. 15. Proud and excited to have a new ride, he drove it off the lot. 48 hours later, the new car glow was gone and the trouble rolled in.

“Two days later, it did it again,” Cook said. “I asked for my money back, ‘We gonna fix it. We gonna fix it.’”

US figure skater Amber Glenn faces backlash over politics and copyright issues after Olympic gold

On the same day Amber Glenn won Olympic gold as part of the team event, and stepped away from social media due to backlash over her comments on politics and the LGBTQ+ community, the American figure skater ended up with another headache.

Canadian artist Seb McKinnon, who produces music under the name CLANN, took to social media late Sunday to object to the use of his song “The Return,” which Glenn had used in her free skate — and has been using for the past two years without issue.

Macomb County teen’s world upended by total stranger who hijacked his life, spread rumors online

A Michigan teen wanted a normal high school experience. But someone decided to use his photos and videos and create social media accounts pretending to be him.

That person created fake accounts posing as Daniel “DJ” Phillips, 19, of Washington Township, using them to spread false information, talk to girls, and more, creating a web of deception that garnered thousands of views on TikTok and led to real-life confrontations.
